I KNOW I TOTALLY FAILED AT SHOWING HIM PALLET TOWN OR DOING A WHOLE INTRODUCTION SCENE WITH MY MOM BEING ALL "hey mom this is Al-" YOUR BF?! OMG I AM SO HAPPY THIS DAY FINALLY "Moooooom" Alphonse all awkwardly blushing and stuff.

just so you know if you didn't notice befoe:

before it's like, you can only understand the Pkmn in your own party. kind of a weird rule I guess but eh. it's not like Alphonse was planned to be there from the start.
He understood Tod because Tod saw him with Lisa and assumed he's a friend, once he saw Lisa react "negative" to him he thought he must've been wrong. It might be less "trust" and more if the Pkmn wants you to understand it or not I AM NO PROFESSOR I DONT KNOW HOW THESE THINGS WORK! We just know that Alphonse sure as heck won't understand Richard xD

that's right mom, BUY THAT milk from the grocery store!! use paper bags like the good ol days! kids and their plastic bags now a days don't know how cool paper bags are!

but neat addition with the earring translation thing, pokemon talk so universally in most nuzlockes so having some explanations for it is a nice change. and you can trust a mom's instinct,

haha! on smackjeeves people were on how I invented a device for X&Y (I mean its kinda unnecessary to understand them in game but yeha) and I was all, what if there is a small fish pkmn that goes into your ear and translates things LIKE A BABEL FISH. but that'd be really REALLY WEIRD

The Pokémon world is a more likely place for the Babel Fish to develop than our world. So it goes from REALLY WEIRD to JUST A LITTLE DISTURBING. :'D
